COLUMBUS AREA, INC.
Columbus Area, Inc., "Gateway to Wellness Services," the first community mental health agency in Franklin County was incorporated as a private not-for-profit mental health organization on November 9, 1965. Services were first delivered in August 1967 at 275 E. State Street.
In May 1972, the agency moved to its current location at 1515 E. Broad Street. the agency currently employs approximately 200 staff and is a provider within the Franklin County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Board (ADAMH) Network.
