Who we are
We are the first and oldest mental health organization in Franklin Co. having become incorporated in 1965.
We are a full service/comprehensive provider with an array of mental health, alcohol and other drug services to personsrial, suffering with a mental illness, alcohol and/or drug addiction.
We have maintained offices on the East Side of Columbus, Ohio, for nearly forty (40) years.
We have, over the years, earned a reputation of being a leader in providing new and innovative state of the art programs and services

With diminishing public dollars for social and professional community programming such as ours, we are having to depend more and more upon the generosity of donors like you to help make it possible for us to continue the work that we have been doing for the past four decades. Your financial gift will have a positive impact! With your support we can not only continue but enhance the many special services that we currently offer including:
Safe (supervised) housing
Vocational training and job placement
After School tutorials
Community ‘Outreach’ and Prevention Services to children and their families
In-School prevention and treatment services
Free summer day camp for 'at risk' youth
Residential “Recovery Services” for addicted males

You can become a donor by making an “In-Kind” gift, a “Planned” gift or “Cash” donation.
In-kind Donation - If your employer has a matching gift program, you can increase the value of your donation to Columbus Area, Inc. Speak with the appropriate person at your place of employment to obtain necessary forms and instructions.
Planned gift - There are many ways you can include Columbus Area, Inc. in your estate plans, depending on your financial situation and your personal wishes. Some of the most common methods of giving:
